Scarlet/Violet
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Team Builder
Paldea lets you fight Titans before gyms, so a Pokemon Scarlet and Violet team builder is about flexible cores—not a fixed route order. You still need type math; you just meet the walls in a different sequence.
Draft in the Scarlet / Violet planner, watch defense and STAB coverage, then share the party when a friend asks “what are you running?”

Build a Paldea team →Scarlet & Violet team building realities
- Open world ≠ no planning. You can outlevel problems, or you can build coverage and stop soft-resetting the same Titan.
- Tera changes matchups. Treat Tera as a panic button or a planned spike — not a reason to ignore base types.
- Version legends differ, kits overlap. Scarlet and Violet share most of the planning logic; exclusives are spice.
- Late game still has dragons, steels, and setup sweepers. Mixed offense matters.
A modern six-slot template for Paldea
- Starter path — Meowscarada, Skeledirge, or Quaquaval each create different holes; plug them early.
- Electric or Ground — depending on whether Water or Electric keeps deleting you.
- Fairy or Ice — dragons and fighting cores show up all over the map.
- Dark / Ghost / Fighting — for Psychic and Normal walls.
- Steel or Rock — buys turns against fairies and flyers.
- Flex favorite — regional form or paradox mon that still covers a leftover red type.
Quick Scarlet/Violet balance check
- At least one answer to Water, Ground, and Fairy offenses
- At least four distinct STAB types
- One bulky pivot that is not pure glass
- One mon that threatens Dragon or Steel into the late game
Four Paldea checkpoints for your type board
Paldea does not force one route, and enemy levels do not scale to your path. Use these as matchup checkpoints, not a required order:
- Levincia Gym — Electric: Iono's Electric-Tera Mismagius has Levitate, so a Ground-only answer is not enough. Bring a member that can take Electric pressure without depending on a Ground hit.
- Montenevera Gym — Ghost doubles: Ryme's battle is a Double Battle. Check that more than one member can pressure Ghost targets and that your core does not rely on a single fragile answer.
- Segin Squad — Dark: Giacomo's Dark crew is a clean test for Fighting, Bug, or Fairy STAB reach and for whether your Psychic or Ghost picks have support.
- Quaking Earth Titan — Ground: Scarlet uses Ground/Fighting Great Tusk; Violet uses Ground/Steel Iron Treads. Water is useful into both, while the second type changes which other answers are safest.

How to build your Scarlet or Violet team in the tool
- Choose Scarlet / Violet in the game grid.
- Search names or filter by type to fill roles fast.
- Toggle fully evolved if you are planning endgame; leave base forms on for early exploration teams.
- Read the defense board — stacked weaknesses to Ice, Fighting, or Ground are common SV failure modes.
- Copy the link into notes, Discord, or a nuzlocke sheet.
Scarlet & Violet team builder FAQ
Is this a Pokemon Violet team builder too?
Yes. Scarlet and Violet share the same planner mode on this site. Use it for either version’s party drafts.
Do you calculate Tera types?
The live board focuses on base typing and STAB coverage. Use Tera as an overlay decision after the six are type-stable.
Can I plan a competitive SV team here?
You can sketch type cores, but full competitive building still needs moves, items, and calcs beyond this story-oriented builder.
